Located in the heart of the authentic Fisherman’s Village, Hacienda Hotels are close to everything you could possibly need. Here are the various activities available around the hotel located within a 5 to 15 minute drive. Fisherman’s Village: Lined with small shops of all kinds, restaurants on the beach, offering a variety of cuisines and cool bars, Fisherman’s Village Street is full of charm and good addresses. Relatively quiet every evening except Friday, night market day. The street is then animated with small stalls, where you can find souvenirs, street food, take-out cocktails and shopping. At the end of Fisherman’s Street is The Wharf which is a new shopping center with retro architecture offering a hundred stores. A large car park is located at the entrance on the side of the main road.
A few steps from the hotel, you will find jet skis for hire as well as various water activities such as wakeboarding, paddleboarding, waterskiing or even flyboarding.
Around the island by boat
The port of Big Buddha being located near the hotels, it is from there the boats leave to go around Koh Samui. The excursion includes a small snorkeling stopover in the turquoise waters, a meal by the beach on Koh Tan Island, south of Samui, and then back up to the west coast at the end of the day. You will discover the islets where game wardens live in order to preserve the swallow’s nests, highly prized for their medicinal properties. The tour ends at the port of Nathon.
Bringing together several activities, such as temples, Elephant trekkings, Namuang waterfalls or the Magic Garden. Going on a Safari is a good way to discover the interior of the island. You have the choice between the full day or just the morning, these excursions are varied and will allow you to discover the various sites not to be missed on the island.

Big Buddha & Wat Plai Laem: These two temples are not to be missed during your stay in Samui. They are about a 10-minute drive from Hacienda Fisherman’s Village and are easily accessible. Visible as soon as you arrive by plane or boat, Big Buddha is an impressive 12-meter-high statue. Around the temple, there are small souvenir shops. A few steps away is the Plai Laem temple. It contains two giant statues, one of the 18-armed goddess Guanyin, worshiped by the Chinese, as well as the status of a large Buddha representing wealth and prosperity. The temple is surrounded by a lake where you can feed sacred fish. A very beautiful site to discover.

Chaweng: Chaweng is the place to party, eat, drink and dance. Beach bar, restaurants, clubs, there is something for everyone. Most bars close around 2 a.m. but there are a few exceptions especially in Soi Green Mango. You will also find shops all along Chaweng beach (long one-way street along the beach) as well as the Central Festival. This large shopping center brings together all the international brands and restaurants. This is also where we find the famous Thai boxing stadium, Petch Buncha Stadium.
Maenam: If you are looking for tranquility, Maenam is the place to go to relax and enjoy a massage by the sea. The beach is less crowded than in Chaweng and you can see the island of Koh Phangan opposite. The night market takes place on Thursday evening in the pedestrian streets of Maenam. There are also good restaurants there.
Choeng Mon: Only a ten-minute drive from Fisherman’s Village, Choeng Mon Bay is a peaceful and very family-friendly place. There are restaurants and shops, including crafts.
Ports and Airport: The location of Hacienda Hotels Fisherman’s Village allows you to easily and quickly reach the various ports as well as the airport. Indeed, we are located between the two ports going to Koh Tao and Koh Panghan, that of Maenam Pier and Bang Rak Pier. As for the airport, it can be reached in about ten minutes.
We also organize transfers from the various ports and from the airport to bring you back to the hotel. If you want to take the famous collective taxis (songteow), it is very easy to find them as they are passing through the main road at the entrance to Fisherman’s Village.

Silver Beach or Crystal Bay: Silver Beach also known as Crystal Bay, is a unique beach on Samui located on the lower Chaweng before reaching Lamai. Turquoise water, white sand and large rocks rising out of the water make this cove one of the most beautiful on the island. There are also a few restaurants and resorts on the beach, but there is tranquility and privacy.
